The 10U Expos wrapped up the Tombstone Classic in Wisconsin Dells over the fourth of July weekend with a 5-1 record and a win in the championship game. After a tough loss Saturday night, the boys responded with two wins on Sunday to take home the first place hardware. The offense led the way by scoring 91 runs on the weekend and the pitching staff only allowed 25 runs in six games. Liam Sievert and Kelso Johnson set the tone and led the way on the mound as they each earned two wins and combined to strike out 22 batters. The offense had seven players who each had eight hits or more with Colby Hunter, Liam Sievert, and Nolan Anderson each having 10 or more. The aggressiveness from the entire team on the bases was responsible for the onslaught of runs the team created. Finally, the support from our families at the event was tremendous. Their generosity and support for our boys before games, in between games, and after games, was instrumental in the amazing atmosphere we played in this weekend.
