The 12AAA Expos took 2nd place in the D2 bracket of the Omaha Slumpbuster tournament, held June 16-20 in Omaha NE. The Expos went 4-4 on the week, playing against teams from Kansas, Arkansas, Arizona, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah, and Texas. In bracket play, the Expos won two on Saturday, breezing past Perfect Timing Blue (Springdale AR) 8-2 and Slammers Rebels (Denver CO) 20-12. In Sunday's semifinal against Power Baseball (Santaquin UT) the Expos won 7-5, setting them up for the championship game against Vindex (Amarillo TX), where they lost 9-6.
