The 14U Major Expos won the silver bracket at the Evoshield Evolution Series in Kansas City, Kansas, over the weekend of April 23-25. The Expos started out pool play looking a bit rusty in their first tournament of the season, dropping games to OK PWP 9-0 and KC Crusaders 13U 2-1, then picking up their first win on Saturday night against 643KC, 13-9. The Expos were then placed in the silver bracket for Sunday, with the first game being against familiar rival the MN Icemen, whom they narrowly beat 5-4. The bats came out in the semifinal game against Building Champions UA Shelton as the Expos won 15-3. In the championship game against BTL, the Expos capped off the weekend with their third win of the day, besting the Hornets 6-4 to capture their first ring of the 2021 season. Next up, the Expos will take their 4-game win streak to Prospect Meadows in Marion, Iowa, where they will compete in the BCS North Championship May 7-9.
